The German Space Agency's (DLR) :envihab (from the words ‘Environment’ and ‘Habitat’) is a state of the art research facility operated by the Institute for Aerospace Medicine. NASA researchers use the facility to study simulated microgravity with extended head-down-tilt bedrest studies, focusing on how to combat space-based muscle loss and  balance impairments.
